Elastique is an ongoing project since 2011. It is about creating combinations of images and mixing my own photographs with found ones, just in order to reduce them to their core.

My work begins with observation, distillation and creation of new order within the multitude of images which flood us. There is no hierarchy between things that I observe in physical reality to things which I observe on the screen – both emulsify upon my retina and they are the crude materials with which I work. Elastique is  based upon awareness and reaction. The originating point can often switch between a found image and an image I have created, usually from my immediate surroundings ; one affecting the choices made upon the other. Juxtaposing the images creates a continual dialogue between the external world and I.

Elastique can be seen like a living archive of images that wish to make universal peace between images.
